I super excited to announce that I'm moving back to SF in August.
I've taken a teaching job and I'm also working for the SF Symphony which of course is a dream.
I'm looking forward to being back home.

Re: I'm Moving Back to SF
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 7:57 AMI'm working with a small team developing and implementing an education program. Basically, the Symphony is losing it's audience, let's just say,... they're not all too young. So the Symphony got a huge grant to start a program called Keeping Score. Keeping Score has 3 branches: an education series on PBS hosted by Michael Tilson Thomas, a website, and an education program. In the education branch we teach classroom teachers from around the Western US how to integrate music into they're classrooms. It's exciting work for me. My skill set is utilized well as a composer, professional musician, and educator. I love it. -

Re: I'm Moving Back to SF
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 10:45 AM...and holy hells, Mark - you get to work with one of my favorite people that I haven't yet met, MTT! (and a worthwhile mention is that one of his favorite composers is Mahler - Gustav Mahler, who is heralded (sometimes darkly, and without appreciation) as being one og the forefathers of emotional symphony, beyond the prescribed edict, beyond the marches.
Ken Russel actually created a movie about him - that no one knows about, but is twisted as hell, and one of my favorites - Mahler...
I don't know if it is possible, but we need to work together. If it isn't possible, (don't know how we would mix) then trust me when I say that I will do my best to support you in anything you do. Everything you do.
